Do you think the Indian education system is good enough to explore more? Reply in the comment section...
We all know India is a leading country in producing Engineers and Doctors in bulk. The engineering entrance exam JEE ADVANCED and medical entrance exam NEET-UG are the two toughest exams in the country. Even after year millions of students are giving these exams to get the percentile of 99.2 and more. But, What about the rest?
Other than these exams, lots of students are giving competitive exams to get into the premium institutes, but only 2% can get into it. On average 10k colleges are providing bachelor and masters degree to the students, but they are not ensuring them that they will get the job. So its time to make some changes in the education system.
The education system must be flexible for both the students and professors. Few things make the Indian education system boring, irritating and less effective -
1) The Attendance criteria
2) Lack of focus on technical skills
3) Colleges are getting fails in creating interest in research and all.
4) More focus on marks.
5) Lack of facilities.
6) Students are not free to interact with teachers and many more.
"Since the students are approaching towards jobs that reduce the chance of creating the innovative mindsets" - Ratan Tata
India is 50 years behind the Europian countries and 70 years behind America in the research field. 7 of the top 10 richest people are from the USA. All the top multinational companies are Americans. But the Indian
students are busy and seeking jobs because there is no future of research and entrepreneurship in India.
So, this is the right time to make some changes. Everything is revolving around education. So the education system needs to be flexible with students and teachers both so that both can interact properly. With the proper education system, a student will become able to contribute to the making of new India.
To reduce the burden of students, we should opt for some changes like:
1) Introduce the advanced technical courses in the curriculum.
2) Students must be provided with the project work regularly.
3) Consider only the needful subjects in the syllabus
4) There should be no attendance criteria for meritorious once.
5) More focus on case studies and all
6) Availability of resources for students.
7) Class timing must be flexible.
8) Try to introduce books reading habit among students.
9) Need to include motivating and lifestyle sessions in the curriculum.
In today's era of development and science, everyone needs to explore to the maximum and it can be done only with the flexible education system.
